  • What are the indications for taking Trekrezan?

As part of complex therapy, Trekrezan is indicated:
      - for prevention and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections;
      - to increase the body resistance to stresses (hypoxia, hyperthermia, hypothermia) and environmental hostilities (sudden changes in climatic conditions, adaptation to atmospheric pressure changes).

  • How to take the drug for the prevention and treatment of ARVI?

    For prevention:
adults and children aged 12 and older are prescribed 1 tablet (200 mg) per day after meals, for a course duration of 14 days.

    For treatment:
adults and children aged 12 and older are prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day (600 mg) on the first day, followed by 1 tablet (200 mg) per day for the next 7 days. The course of treatment lasts 8 days.

  • What viruses does Trekrezan work on?

Colds can be caused by more than 200 different viruses, and with the constant change in flu viruses and most ARVI pathogens, Trekrezan is a universal product for treatment and prevention, no matter the type of virus.  According to the instruction for use, Trekrezan stimulates the production of alpha (α-) and gamma (γ-) interferons, increases the body's nonspecific defense, which determines its broad spectrum of antiviral activity.

  • Can Trekrezan be used for COVID-19?

Regulatory authorities and scientific communities, when creating regulations to control COVID-19, separately noted interferon inducers, such as Trekrezan.

The advantage of interferon inducers is that they promote the synthesis of a balanced amount of endogenous interferons (the body's own interferons). A single administration in therapeutic doses leads to the prolonged production of endogenous interferons.

For the prevention of viral infections, Trekrezan is prescribed 1 tablet (200 mg) per day after meals, for a course duration of 14 days

  • What is the mode of immunomodulatory action of the drug?

Trekrezan activates cellular and humoral immunity and stimulates natural induction of
alpha (α-) and gamma (γ-) interferons, providing rapid and long-term antiviral effect.

  • Is it safe to stimulate the immune system?

Trekrezan has a good safety profile and can also be used in children (aged 12 and older). The drug stimulates the natural induction of alpha (α-) and gamma (γ-) interferons. At the same time, the body produces exactly as much interferon as is necessary to control the virus.

  • What is the mode of adaptogenic action of the drug?

Trekrezan is a broad-spectrum adaptogen that reduces the effects of various toxins, relieves post-infectious weakness, and increases the body resistance to hypoxia, low and high temperatures, and other environmental stressors.

  • Why does the physician not always prescribe antiviral drugs when there are symptoms of ARVI? Is it possible to start taking Trekrezan® on your own in this case?

The treatment of colds does not necessarily involve the use of antiviral drugs, which is why in some cases healthcare professionals limit themselves to prescribing symptomatic drugs (febrifuges, throat sprays, etc.) and recommend drinking more fluids for detoxification. Nevertheless, the use of antiviral drugs can speed up the recovery process and alleviate the clinical course. If there are no contraindications, you can start taking Trekrezan, but it is recommended to consult a healthcare professional or read a package leaflet beforehand.

  • At what age can Trekrezan be taken?

Trekrezan is approved for use from the age of 12.

THERE ARE CONTRAINDICATIONS. IT IS NECESSARY TO CONSULT A HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL.
